Sibshops
Siblings of individuals with Down syndrome ages 7-16 are welcome to join Sibshops to meet other sibs, socialize, and engage in some great conversation!
Typically, the 3rd Saturday every other month (see dates below)
12 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

$5 fee
Snacks will be served!

Sibshops are lively, pedal-to-the-metal events where they will:
• Meet other sibs (usually for the first time)
• Have fun and laugh!
• Talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs with others who “get it”
• Play some great games
• Learn how other brothers and sisters handle sticky situations sometimes faced by brothers and sisters
• Learn about the services their brothers and sisters receive

Los Sibshops son eventos animados y acelerados en los que:
• Conocerás a otros hermanos (generalmente por primera vez)
• ¡Diviértete y ríete!
• Hablaras sobre las partes buenas y no tan buenas de tener un hermano con necesidades especiales con otras personas que “lo entienden”.
• Jugaras juegos geniales
• Aprender cómo otros hermanos y hermanas manejan situaciones difíciles que a veces enfrentan los hermanos y hermanas
• Aprender sobre los servicios que reciben sus hermanos y hermanas
